A Story of...TOYS
Over 25 years ago we started our company in the garage of the home where Doug grew up — we had to be careful not to disturb Doug's parents who were still living there! Thanks to your support, we've been able to move into a real office down the road, a building that actually has separate ladies and men's bathrooms! Our philosophy has remained the same over the years–to make each and every customer a happy and permanent member of the Melissa & Doug family, while offering products with tremendous value, quality and design. Our line offers something for everyone with over 2,000 innovative products for children of all ages! We've always welcomed customer suggestions, and we continually strive to make improvements to our products. We're honored by the faith you place in us and view it as our responsibility to continue to earn your trust in the years to come!

Summer Is Over
Did someone say Summer was over? It flew by even quicker than last years Summer. Memories have been made. Long distance friends and family have been seen. Parties have been attended and celebrated. Movie nights have been had with the kiddos and popcorn has been consumed.
Welcome, to the new school year! Meeting new teachers and figuring out what progress you are expecting for your child or children this year. Maybe it's your child's first year. Oh the sad and happy tears that will be cried as you watch your child start their brand new adventure.

Welcome To My World: Part 5
First I would like to thank Sensory Goods for giving me a chance to share my story! So as a result of having so many kids (LOL), a few of them have a couple issues. Heidi is a very slow learner but tries her best, Jeffery has ADD, Chloe has a thyroid issue, and Isaac has night terrors. Chloe is very hyper and constantly going! The kids are a blast to hang out with! Jeffery, Chloe and Isaac all use a Weighted Blanket. They sleep so much better because of it. Me and Rich will be adopting The three boys later this year, we are super excited. I hope my story not only Encourages you everyday but I pray that it gives you Hope. Here we are, one BIG, happy family!

Welcome To My World: Part 3
I'm going to take a moment to let you into my head for a minute. I want you to understand who I am. I was 27 when this life changing event occurred. I had No idea what was going to happen. No one ever wants to see their sister or brother fail. To watch three little hearts get crushed! I can't even to begin to get you to understand how heart wrenching this is. My children would now have three new brothers, they would have to share their Mommy and Daddy.
Back to where I was before. My sister had committed to complete this program, it was only three months long. She ended up getting kicked out for inappropriate behavior about two months in. She had met a man in there that she had "fallen in love with." They moved into a very small motel room for about a month. I would get a call every once in awhile and I would tell her that she needed to find another program. Once she had left the original program I would not let the three boys talk to her. How would I tell them that she chose a man over them, that they weren't worth getting better for?
Finally the call saying that she had found a program that would take her and her boyfriend! I was so excited! I told the boys that mommy found a new program and it might take a little longer but mommy was going to get better. A month later we received a call from the Pastor that my sister was Pregnant. Stop just for a second, I was furious! How do you tell these boys that mommy was going to have another baby? How was she going to provide for them all? These thoughts were running through my head.
My sister called us and told us that she was pregnant about a week after the Pastor broke the news to us. She didn't know what to do, it wasn't in her plans of things to do. She said that she would still finish the program and she did. She was released and had no where to go. Where would she go? Me and my husband talked about letting her stay with us and decided that that would be the best thing for her. We told her that there would be rules, the three boys were doing very well under our instruction and that they would still be under our direction for awhile. We said that we would slowly direct them back to her. She agreed and moved in.

Welcome To My World: Part 2
Okay where were we? Oh yeah, we had completed our family and we were happy. A little over two years ago I had gotten a call from my sister. My sis had a hard life and it often showed in the way she lived and the things that she depended on. Back to the call, she was using her desperate voice, CPS had been called and she was terrified that they were going to take her kids away. She knew that they would find out what she had been into. I told her that Me and my husband, Rich, would take the three boys until she cleaned up. She agreed.
Wait, did you get that? I just said I would raise someones kids for them! I didn't hesitate, they were my nephews. We had my sis meet someone involved in getting her hooked up with a Christian Shelter. She entered the program angry and not knowing when she would see the kids again. I told her that she needed to take this step to a better life. It was an emotional time for those little boys. We took them to see her pretty often. Visits would be stressful because they would revert to acting out and misbehaving. They didn't understand. My simple life of raising three kids was Over. My world and everyone in it was turned upside down.
